Events on the home page maintain themselves

Parallel to the modernization of the homepage of the University of Business and Society in Ludwigshafen, our event solution Campus Events was introduced at the university.

Since events are also to be listed on the new homepage, it was obvious to automatically import the event data maintained in Campus Events. The TYPO3 extension developed by Brain Appeal was used for this purpose. After the data exchange, TYPO3 editors can display the imported events on any desired page. However, the central administration of the events remains in Campus Events. The same applies to participant management.

For the university, the import was configured according to customer requirements and the output on the website was graphically adapted according to individual wishes. Website visitors now receive a tabular overview of all important event data. If they are interested in an event, they are redirected to Campus Events, where more details are listed and registration for an event is possible.

For the editors, the data import avoids duplication of work in the TYPO3 system.
