Interview Giuseppe

BA: Hi Giuseppe, you've been with us as a developer for 4 years already!

Giuseppe: Yes!

BA: As a brief introduction, what do people need to know about you?

Giuseppe: My name is Giuseppe. I'm 28 years old and I've been a developer at Brain Appeal for 4 years. I started here as a Symfony developer, but I switched relatively quickly to TYPO3 and I'm mainly active there. Personally, I'm a passionate gamer and I'm really into metal.

BA: Cool! And what was the reason why you applied here?

Giuseppe: In my old company I just wasn't satisfied with the working atmosphere anymore. When I was looking for developer jobs in Mannheim, I came across Brain Appeal. I then used the TYPO3 Usergroup, which fortunately took place at the same time at Brain Appeal, to get to know the company. The first impression was accordingly good, so that I applied directly here.

BA: ... which of course makes us very happy! How were the first days and months for you?

Giuseppe: My first days here were really relaxed. I was given a computer on which I directly installed Linux. My colleagues showed me various processes, made it easier for me to get started with the projects and introduced me to some company best practices. I was also always helped directly and well with my questions and at no time did I have the feeling that anyone had a problem with it.

BA: What do you like most about the job?

Giuseppe: The fact that I can organize my work here relatively freely and also determine the approaches to certain problems myself. In addition, if I have specific questions about TYPO3, I can always turn to my colleagues, who have known the system longer than I have.

BA: And how do you get along in the team?

Giuseppe: I think the working atmosphere is great. It's a small team where everyone has their strengths and you can always count on the help of others. No one is too serious here, so you can sometimes lighten up the work with a few jokes and sayings.

BA: Sooo and as a final question: What has been your best moment with us so far?

Giuseppe: It's hard to find a best moment. When you finish a big project that has kept you busy for the last few months, for example. But the company events are definitely one of them! But who doesn't enjoy a round of laser tag followed by a meal and a stay in an arcade?

BA: Absolutely! Thank you very much for taking the time and here's to more great moments!

Giuseppe: Yes, I hope so too - thank you!
